Stanley Chow, AIA

Vice President of Operations

Acute attention to detail, design sensibilities and technical experience make Stan a valuable team leader at Robert Hidey Architects. Over 24 years of experience gives him the ability to oversee the constructability and execution of quality design relating to single family merchant builder products. He has worked extensively on luxury single family residences and is responsible for ensuring our high standards are adapted in conjunction with our design philosophy.

“Changes in the world economy and lifestyles all factor into architecture,” said Stan. “Architecture has responded and adapted to constantly changing needs and I find it highly gratifying to be a part of those challenges. I see future home footprints trending smaller as it relates to economic factors. Smarter and greener homes will be a part of architectural design regardless of home sizes.”

Previous expertise includes an extensive client list of well-known leading homebuilders as well as Carlos Diniz, Illustrator; Black O’Dowd and Associate, Architect, Gold Nugget Awards; City of Torrance; LAUSD and USPS. Stan received a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from California Polytechnic San Luis Obispo and studied at L ‘Ecole des Beaux-Arts for Architecture in Fontainebleau, France.

“My architectural education in France exposed me to a very high level of artistic creation,” said Stan. “It allowed me to learn a great deal about the history of the arts and cultural scene. I aspire to incorporate that awareness into our quality architectural design at every turn.”
